Dehlia Low Down ::: August 2011

Hi Everyone!

We've had an amazing summer, hope you have as well. We've covered lots of miles, met some amazing people and have had a blast. Although summer's pretty much over... we're not slowing down yet. The new album is doing really well, we've been getting great feedback and some really nice reviews. This week Ravens & Crows is at #20 on the Roots Music Report and #2 on the North Carolina Roots Radio Play Chart. We're really happy that people seem to like the new album, it means a lot to us.

SOOOOO--- To show our appreciation we want to give you a track that we recorded during the same sessions as the rest of Ravens & Crows. A song that we play in almost all of our live shows written by Stig called Away. We're going to have it up on the our website for a limited time, so feel free to go grab it and share it with your friends! http://dehlialow.com/fr_home.cfm

We've got some exciting shows coming up-- this week we're at the iconic Station Inn in Nashville, TN! http://www.stationinn.com/ It's our first appearance there, so if you know anyone in the area, let them know we're coming! The show starts an 9pm on Saturday night (9/3) and costs $12.

On our way to Nashville, we're going to stop off in Knoxville to play on the Blue Plate Special lunch hour radio show at WDVX. You can stream the live show on-line at noon at this link:

The following weekend we're at the Mountian Song Festival in Brevard alongside Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers (I've been re-watching my favorite Steve Martin movie The Jerk... just in case he wants to 'talk shop.'), The Carolina Chocolate Drops, Blue Highway, 18 South, Shannon Whitworth, and Tim O'Brien and Bryan Sutton. There are still a few lawn seats available for Saturday!

After that we've got one of our favorite fests, Jammin at Hippie Jacks, IBMA's World of Bluegrass, Shakori Hills Festival, a show with the Duhks at Pisgah Brewing in Asheville.... and more. Stay up to date on the website to see if we're near you!

We had an incredible time in Northern California and in Saskatchewan, Canada. We missed getting to see the Northern Lights by one night.... so that just means will have to go back next year. We had a blast teaching at a Bluegrass Camp up there alongside the guys from David Davis and the Warrior River boys, and a great Canadian Bluegrass Band, The Foggy Hogtown Boys.

As always, thanks for the support and encouragement! See you down the road!
